Militia are from the South West of the United Kingdom and has always played a wide range of rock covers from bands like ,The Beatles, The Foo Fighters, Led Zepplin, The Arctic Monkeys and Green Day. There are too many to mention but I'm sure you get the idea. You're more likely to see them playing in local pubs and Festivals for Charity.
Every year members of Militia organise a Festival in Aid of MacMillan Cancer Trust now named Rock Twenty Festivals. They recently played at a Help for Heroes, a support charity for our wounded boys held at local pub The Lamb in Cadbury Heath. Later last year Militia and other bands played a Charity Fun Day in aid of the local Air Ambulance at local pub The Horseshoe in Siston Common.
Militia started with Jay Fuller and Mike Nutland asking Jase Stallard (ex-Onslaught) to get together to form a new band in 1999. Stuart Carrow left the band early and left them with no vocalist. As a three piece Militia stormed a following with Jase on Vocals and Bass. 'Militia' was the name of the Band Jase had when he first split from 'Onslaught' back in 1990. In-between Jase was playing for 'The Bolsheviks'.
A couple of years later Andy joined when 'Insult' split. ('Insult' was a covers band that consisted of 'Onslaught' members Jay, Nige Rockett and Steve Grice.) When 'Rise' split, Militia gained guitarist Rich.
The band retains a strong connection with Onslaught. At the 'Onslaught' comeback gig at the Fleece, Jay did the lights for them. There were ten Onslaught members there all together.
Now Jase has teamed up with other Original Onslaught members Steve Grice, Steve Grimmmett and Al Jordan as "The Sanity Days" and performing Onslaughts third album "In Search of Sanity"
